Nursing care in the Unisa academic environment can be a challenge for many learners and even new comers. To help nurse students during their first year experiences, the Student Retention Unit (SRU) has introduced the First-Year Experience Massive Open Online Course. This course is aptly entitled and aims to help and ready new entrants for effective studies at Unisa.
- Use this link to visit the portal – www.mooc.unisa.ac.za/portal
- Press “New Account.” Your Unisa student number should be used as the user ID.
- Once you are logged in, click “Membership” to see a list of sites you can join.
- To get to the FYE MOOC, click on the “Join link for the UOL009-FYE101_2024” button.
- Make sure you finish all the tests at the end of each lesson and turn them in so they can be graded.
- After you finish UOL009-FYE101_2024, you will have to wait an hour before you can accept your offer to study.
