Introduction:
Guardrisk, an industry-leading insurer, is offering an exciting Learnership opportunity for dynamic, self-starters passionate about client service. This programme will provide you with both theoretical knowledge and practical experience in the workplace, helping you gain a Short Term and Long Term Insurance NQF Level 4 qualification. Although the learnership does not guarantee permanent employment, it equips you with invaluable experience to kick-start your career in the insurance industry.
Role Purpose:
The learnership is a structured programme that allows you to gain experience in various areas such as Claims and Operations. Successful completion will give you a recognized qualification and the opportunity to develop professional skills. The learnership runs for 12 months and offers a stipend of R5,500 per month.
Key Responsibilities:
Process:
- Participate actively in both classroom sessions and practical on-the-job training.
- Develop an understanding of the company’s products, policies, and procedures.
- Compile a portfolio of evidence for SETA submission and maintain detailed logbooks.
- Complete assessments (formative and summative) to meet the required proficiency level.
- Learn to navigate and use company systems and operational processes.
Client Service:
- Build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Adhere to service level agreements and manage client expectations.
- Provide recommendations to enhance client service quality.
- Proactively resolve issues to improve service delivery.
People Development:
- Build strong relationships with colleagues and foster teamwork.
- Contribute to a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
- Take ownership of your personal career development.
- Support change initiatives within the team.
Finance:
- Assist in identifying ways to improve cost-effectiveness and operational efficiency.
- Participate in risk identification processes and communicate recommendations.
Eligibility Requirements:
- South African Citizen
- Age: Between 18-25 years old
- Education: Must have completed Grade 12 (NQF Level 4)
- Math Requirements:
- Pure Mathematics: 60% OR
- Mathematical Literacy: 70%
- English Requirements: 65% or higher
- Employment Status: Must be currently unemployed
- Previous Learnership: Applicants should not have participated in a learnership before.
